Meet the Study Permit Requirements

Make sure you meet the study permit requirements from your country. You can also find detail information on the Government of Canada website about Study in Canada as an International Student:

​Make Sure You Are Eligible for the Program of Study

  • Meet English requirement

  • Obtain a valid passport

  • Obtain a valid Study Permit

  • Certified academic documents (Diplomas/Certificates and Transcripts)

  • Most recent Resume

  • Proof of application fee payment

Preparing for Your Arrival

  • Have all your legal documents ready 

  • Obtain valid health insurance - International students are not covered under the Ontario Health Insurance Plan, therefore you must purchase private medical insurance. You can either purchase in your home country or directly from a Canadian company. Please note that it is a MANDATORY REQUIREMENT of the Ministry of Education and students without valid insurance coverage will NOT be allowed to start their program. 

  • Find a place to live - There are a variety of housing accommodations in GTA area that meet your needs. Even though CBS College does not provide on-campus residence, but please do contact our advisors for housing accommodation resources.
